3. Month and year definitions. This converter uses 30.44 days per month (365.25 / 12) and 365.25 days per year to account for leap years. These are average values, not calendar-exact.
4. Use decimals for precision. You can enter 1.5 hours to get 90 minutes, or 2.5 days to see its equivalent in hours, minutes, and seconds.

Example: a standard 40-hour work week. Type 40 in the Hour field to see: 144,000 seconds, 2,400 minutes, 40 hours, 1.66667 days, 0.238095 weeks, 0.054759 months.

All conversions use seconds (s) as the base unit:

Value in seconds = Input × toSeconds factor
Result in target unit = Value in seconds ÷ toSeconds factor

Key reference: 1 year = 365.25 days = 8,766 hours = 525,960 minutes = 31,557,600 seconds. The extra 0.25 day accounts for leap years (one extra day every 4 years on average).
